Directions to Stronvar
After arriving at the pier, drive first into Arinagour village, about 1/3 mile away. Go through the village, past the shop, petrol station and An Cridhe, then take the left-hand fork, along the "West End Road" for about 5 miles. After a long straight past the airport, turn left at the "T" junction by Arileod Farm. 200 yards on, Stronvar is signposted at a gate on the left. Go through the gate at the corner and follow the track (across a grassy field) to the house, about 400 metres further on. If you're unlucky and get a long spell of rain during your stay, take care to avoid muddy bits of the track - and out of season a 4x4 is often a good idea.
