Coll is a fascinating island in the Inner Hebrides situated 57 miles west of Oban and 10 miles west of Mull. It is approximately 13 miles long and 3 miles wide, lying from NE to SW. All around the island are innumerable sandy bays - ideal for bathing, beachcombing and exploring generally all year round. For those interested in botany and ornithology, flora and fauna abound. From Stronvar listen out for cuckoos and corncrakes, you'll see seals coming in to see you in the bay - and you might be lucky enough to glimpse an otter down at the burn.
